The author cites abortion but the real issue that Dems came full force attack and the so-con/GOP side put up a very weak defense on is gay rights :DADT and marriage.

Dems have lots of high sounding arguments for gay rights progression and our side seems terrified to counter them.

The only moral issue I see parts of the GOP taking on is abortion.

1. Establishing “hate” and “intolerance” as the ultimate sin punishable by public exposure, ridicule, banishment, financial ruin and in the extreme, death or serious bodily harm.
2. Defining “hate” and “intolerance” as anyone who disagrees with them and their precepts.

I was part of a Bible study that had met once a week in the public courtyard area of the local YWCA for 7 years. One day a couple of years ago we were asked to leave. I felt like asking them what they thought the “C” in YWCA stood for, but in fact the letter no longer stands for anything since the YWCA for a while has completely disavowed any connection with its Christian roots and now stands for its motto of “Eliminating Racism, Empowering Women.”
