WASHINGTON — Sex. Drugs. Cheating on a spouse.

Those words used to add up to shame. Put them in the same sentence as a politician’s name, and they ended careers.

There should be no political ‘careers’. Public service is not supposed to be a ‘career’. Strict term limits are absolutely necessary for us to save what’s left of America. You can’t prevent corruption from becoming entrenched when you have career politicians........

While there may be those who don't see the “career politician” as a problem, certainly Term Limits would be a good start at removing those who have camped and the troff of gubmint for their entire career's. The major hurdle getting them out is the fact THEY THEMSELVES decide “yea or nay” on term limits at our peril.

Because in a post-modern secular world there is no objective right and wrong. Therre is only what I want and who is going to give it me. That’s where we are at 21st century America.

Stupid article......

The whole point of being liberal is sexual freedom. One must be able to do what ever he wants to whomever he wants whenever he wants.

Being liberal is all about the total elimination of the Victorian concept of shame. There is no shame and can be no shame about anything connected to sex. Sex is about the pleasure of sex period. The fact there might be consequences such as babies is of no matter. The baby can be exterminated.

The fact that the total wisdom of eons of human experience codified by all the various religious teachers is not germane. Liberals want to be freed from those shackles. They break the bands and cast off the hateful chains of experience in human affairs.

It is this liberal view that has caused America in general and New York in particular to be labeled the Great Satan. Sin toppled the twin towers. Sin on an unquantifiable scale is responsible for Islamic zealot hatred of America

They did for the most part.
The 17th amendment circumvented their original design and the combination of the welfare state and universal suffrage created a permanent underclass vote farm.

We destroyed their vision and and system yet we blame them for our mistakes.

A gentle correcting is in order:

“It is this liberal view that has caused America in general and New York in particular to be labeled the Great Satan. Sin toppled the twin towers. Sin on an unquantifiable scale is responsible for Islamic zealot hatred of America.”

NO ONE HUMAN is ever PERFECT, NOT in AMERICA or ANYWHERE for that manner. The Twin Towers which had its share of SINNERS was TAKEN DOWN by WORSE SINNERS.

Plus also in the mind of the liberals, the “rules” have been viewed as enslaving.

Bill Clinton mainstreamed sexual misconduct and it is now just another item on a democrat politician’s curriculum vitae - just like stealing, tax evasion, and shady deals.

Can you think of any major democrat politician without some sort of sexual or money scandal on his/her record?

It doesn’t bother democrat voters as long as they deliver the free stuff and keep the streets of America safe for sexual perverts, abortionists, racists, christain bashers, flag burners, illegals and muslim terrorists.

That makes sense. If being a drug-addled anti-American communist thug isn’t disqualifying, why would we care if Weiner enjoys photography or Spitzer prefers young, professional women?

Stephen Covey had it right. There is no morality switch you can switch on when you walk into the office. You are moral, or you aren’t. A person who cheats on a spouse will also cheat on their company or country. If you want a perfect organization, staff it with perfect people. If you want a screwed-up organization, staff it with the most screwed-up people you can find. If you want a bankrupt organization, staff it with thieves.

One of the traits of social liberalism is moral relativism- if it feels good, do it, and whatever-floats-your-boat. No right and wrong. If there is no standard to hold a politician to, then pretty soon, they do whatever they like. Cheat on their wife? No problem. Lie to their constituents? No biggie. Make crooked political deals and reward their friends and family with taxpayer-provided goodies? Salright. The problem is that morality is disappearing- and while the rot is nearly complete in the Democrat party, the Republicans are succumbing to it also. And without morality our system of government will assuredly fail. John Adams told us so:

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

America will not survive as a secular society devoid of morality. If there is no standard to hold politicians accountable to, then they cannot be held accountable. The same scumbag who will cheat on his wife, lie to his family, will do so to his constituents and the citizenry at large.

And yet, there are people who say, “This doesn’t matter. Lets make sure the budget is balanced. Lets concentrate on fiscal matters. We need to be pragmatic.” An open sewer with a balanced budget is still an open sewer, and a turd is still a turd no matter whether it is a green or a black fly sitting on top of it.
