Prosecutor: Zimmerman 'Profiled' Trayvon
Breitbart ^ | 11 Jul 2013 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 07/11/2013 1:23:20 PM PDT by Hotlanta Mike

“This defendant decided that the victim was up to no good,” said prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda. The prosecutor said, “In the defendant’s mind, this was a criminal, and he was tired of criminals out there. That’s not a bad thing…but he went over the line.” de la Rionda claimed that Zimmerman wanted to make sure that Trayvon Martin didn’t get out of the neighborhood. “This defendant was sick and tired of it, and so he decided he was going to be what he wanted to be: a police officer,” said the prosecutor. “He assumed Trayvon Martin was a criminal. That’s why we’re here.”

In the libtard mind, only protected minorities can be victims of profiling. Creepy a** crackers have no such rights.

No mention of St Skittles intentionally initiating a physical confrontation when he could have walked away...

Based on Martin's BEHAVIOR, he did profile him. And as a neighborhood watch captain, that's exactly what he SHOULD have done.

Hell, it seems clear from the 911 call (Zimmerman: "He looks black") and from the fact that Martin was wearing a hoodie, Zimmerman wasn't even sure what Martin's race actually was.

So it's all more BS from the "let's railroad Zimmerman" team.

"He assumed Trayvon Martin was a criminal."

Is that a crime in itself? Is this a thought trial? Stick to the facts, prosecutor. Too bad there isn't a real judge in this case.

I wish the defense would have questioned the last woman to testify over and over again about the dispatcher advising her to find a weapon. And point out how long it took the cops to get there.

I also hope they point out that the guy that had broken into her house then got arrested and released that Zimmerman thought Trayvon looked like the guy and he wanted to keep his eyes on him until the cops got there.

“”He assumed Trayvon Martin was a criminal.””

And it turns out he was right.

Just what does “profile” mean?

It means that Zimmerman noticed that dear sweet little Trayvon was behaving in a suspicious way. As a guy on the neighborhood watch, he was supposed to notice when people were behaving suspiciously.

Has it come to this? That it's racist to notice that young black thugs acting suspiciously might commit crimes? I guess next it will be racist to actually observe young blacks committing crimes and then say they were committing crimes.

OK, I give up. I'm a racist. And I don't care.

The left and the race hustlers do not get to define reality for me.

The prosecutor kept implying that Zimmerman started the fight. I wish just one of the witnesses would have said “I don’t know who started the fight. But I know who had a broken nose.” Then point out Martin could have walked away after he knocked Zimmerman on his ass.

I’m afraid the jurors are going to go the PC route. If they do I only wish the worst for them and their families. Zimmerman got a criminal off the streets. If he’s found guilty nobody will have the guts to go after the rest of the criminals. Thus nobody will be safe.

I think that’s the whole point of this prosecution - to send a message that any “white” person defending themselves from thuggery will be severely punished.

He suspected for good reason, he didn’t assume. Big difference.

Had Trayvon lived, today he’d be charged with assault and possibly attempted murder. It’s very possible he intended to leave no witnesses.

“This defendant was sick and tired of it, and so he decided he was going to be what he wanted to be: a police officer,” said the prosecutor.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bernie is pulling lies out of his arse. George was offered a chance to join the COP program. He declined.
Zimmerman was not a wanna-be cop. He was just another ordinary man who wanted to protect his home and neighborhood.
Bernie was right about one thing though. George was “sick and tired of it”. It being a rash of Holders people breaking into homes again and again in that Association.
I pray that Z is acquitted and set free. Free to sue the bejeebers outta of the state, the Crumps, the networks and the the black racist hate groups - including Holder and the DOJ - who have conspired against this innocent man
The prosecutor is cleverly, often subtly, distorting the facts. Will the jury see through it? And if they do, will they have the courage to go counter to his spin? Hopefully the Defense will use their copious notes to refute the distortions.
Judging by what's on the tape, GZ wasn't even sure the person he saw was black.
He was only sure that wandering around in the rain, standing in other people's yard and looking in their windows was suspicious, and that when he agreed to join the Neighborhood Watch, he assumed a responsibility to watch for people who were doing such things.
The departure from common sense is the idea that you should be offended if you go into someone else's neighborhood that has a Neighborhood Watch, and you are watched.
But, in ghetto culture, the worst thing you can do to someone is “diss” or disrespect them. Trayvon felt dissed by Zimmerman. So, the liberal view is that Zimmerman provoked Trayvon, even if Trayvon threw the first punch. And to ghetto dwellers, you have to react to being dissed with violence. That’s just part of Trayvon’s ghetto upbringing.
I haven’t heard anyone else describe it this way, but that’s part of what is going on here.
I bet you would be hard pressed to find someone here who didn’t understand that aspect of this case...
I hope the jurors do as well, and not embrace it, but abhor it.
It is. TM was offended that "creepy-assed cracker" was watching him. Apparently nobody ever explained to him that when you go into someone else's neighborhood that has a Neighborhood Watch, you might be watched.
Next question is "Who's job was it to do that, and why didn't they do it?"
There were around ten robberies in the complex. Witnesses said they were African-Americans. So maybe Zimmerman should have kept an eye out for the Quakers?
A week or so Geraldo explained his theory of why Aaron Hernandez allegedly killed someone who had disrespected him, as a result of his being a product of the ghetto culture. Unfortunately he is so wedded to the template of innocent Trayvon/guilty Zimmerman that he can’t see that Trayvon’s behavior fit his theory of Hernandez’ behavior.
