“Enzi has lived in Wyoming for over 40 years.”
So does that mean that he’s been a good Senator? Maybe he has, but this business of lifetime “service” needs to stop. The FF’s never intended for the Enzi’s of the country to settle in and make being a Senator a lifetime proposition. There was a time when Hatch was a good senator, ditto for Lugar (they both started the same day and have been there almost 40 years), but as they got older, they ran out of ideas and their main goal was to stay in their cushy jobs for the rest of their lives, lying to their constituents or more importantly working against their interests. The Senate is a disgrace. Do we really want death to be the way we change our leaders? Just look at how many Senate seats have changed in the past couple of years due to death! The Lautencorpse, the Hawaiian Twins, The old coot from WVA! A year ago, I looked at the Senate and found that the top twenty Senators had a total of 518 years of “serivice,” Is that what you want?
I don't think he's been a bad one. Certainly nowhere near as bad as Warner or Graham.
