“I don’t dislike Enzi.”

Enzi has been a Senator since 1997. That’s long enough. And he’s 70 years old, that’s old enough to retire. Cheney grew up in Wyoming. Her family was in politics there and she has name identity. Why would she go to some state where she has none of those favorables to run? I mean you suggest MD! Really, that state is probably the most liberal in the nation today. She’d not have a chance there. Ditto for the other states you mention. My wife has a HS classmate who is a self-admitted RINO state legislator in Wyoming, so to suggest that all is well with conservatism in Wyoming just isn’t true. And the fact of the matter is, he’s a carpetbagger too since he didn’t grow up in Wyoming.

Cheney grew up in Wyoming.

Liz Cheney grew up in Virginia. Her dad worked in DC and in the Nixon and Ford administrations from the time she was 2 or 3. He wasn't even elected to Congress until she was 12, and she continued her education in Virginia schools all the way through high school. That's what I meant when I said she has longer, deeper roots in Virginia than anywhere else.

Her family was in politics there and she has name identity.

Her father has name identity. She's running on that alone.

I mean you suggest MD!

I don't think I suggested Maryland because there isn't a seat up for election in 2012. But I did suggest Virginia, since she's lived there for decades. What's wrong with her running there?

And the fact of the matter is, he’s a carpetbagger too since he didn’t grow up in Wyoming.

Enzi has lived in Wyoming for over 40 years. I doubt Cheney has lived there for 40 weeks.
