Agree with you. A not-guilty on all counts should be scratched together as soon as possible and let Mr. Zimmerman try to get on with his life. I’m cynical though, and believe the jury will somehow obligated to apply a lesser charge.

“We, the jury, find the defendant not guilty on all counts. We also find that the prosecution’s lead attorney is creepy and that the judge is a dead ringer for Chris Farley.”

A hung jury is at least as likely. One holdout for conviction that won't change her mind. Very possible.
