When Skittle fists was pounding Mr. Zimmerman’s head into dust, how could Mr. Z know Skittles was the person whom he had been tracking in his neighborhood watch duties? He had lost track of him as I recall.

That Mr. Z felt threatened enough to pull the trigger on Skittle hands speaks volumes.

Mr. Z is one of the good guys. Skittles obviously overestimated his ability to overwhelm Mr. Z and did not even consider Mr. Z might be packing heat.

Game, set, match Mr. Z.

Muggers and thugs practicing their trade must know it is with a price, unless they ply their trade only in gun free zones.

It must be factored in as a cost of doing business.

I think he knew it was Skittles because he recognized the gangsta uniform Skittles was wearing and GZ said before Skittles punched him he asked him “Hey yo, yo gots a problaaam?” no doubt while going cerebral palsy with his hands, and GZ said “No I ain’t got a problem” and then Skittles “whup his ass and whoop his ass y’all” only Skittles was introduced to the 2nd amendment. So I would say GZ definitely knew it was him. I also think Skittles was trying to rob GZ because that’s how “tha’ gangstas” usually work, that’s their MO. They usually just punch you out of the blue or they make up a reason to punch you “You gotta problem” so they can take your money and cellphone (or sahfone as they call it) while you are disabled. When I was unfortunate to live in the despotic city of New York, tha gangstas use to do that all the time on the subways. “You gotta a problem” and WHAM
