I don't think they realize what they are doing. We are no different from the Germans of 1932 or the Russians of 1916, and we could easily step across that line from our current marginal stability into complete uncertainty. If we do take that step, do they really want so many precedents that the law means nothing more than what is expedient for the moment? Are they so confident that they will be the ones in power in case of a revolution that they would bet the lives of every homosexual in the country on getting a Soviet Socialist they like and not a National Socialist who will pin a pnk triangle on the chests of "undesirables" on their way to a work camp - where "Arbeit Macht Frei"?

I am disappointed that they don't see the irony in our positions. They consider me hateful, since I want the law to mean what it says. They, the compassionate ones who are making the law whatever the person in charge at that moment wants, are the ones putting us at far greater risk of a terrible outcome.
