By forcing a trial and appointing a special prosecutor, Rick Scott didn't "defuse" anything. Instead, he is accountable for having given the left time to organize bigger riots on a national scale. His mistake is in assuming that the left cares about the evidence of the case. They don't.
This projection of rationality characteristic of Republicans is their downfall. Decent people taught to "love their neighbor" simply cannot fathom Americans so dedicated to evil as are the Marxist operatives of the Slave Party. This constant political mugging belies the fable that it takes two to make a fight.
