bullet casing found at the scene of the Guerrero shooting that was unique to a .45 Hi-Point carbine.Wait a minute. I thought they said "high powered rifle."
Were there two murder weapons?

Wait a minute. I thought they said "high powered rifle." Good point. I've only seen pics of the Hi-Point.
As an aside, the news said that the lead that broke the case was brought forward by a group of metal detector hobbyists that searched the last crime scene for clues and found the brass. Somehow they used that to track down the gun used. Not sure how yet or if that comment on the news was just FOS.

carbine is a rifle. lengthier barrel means a bullet leaves with more power than a handgun barrel.
