A very moving video and story of how their Prescott Fire Department brothers went up the hill to recover the fallen hotshots. One of the fire fighters went up to recover his son who died along with 18 others.

I hope they keep a close eye on the survivor and he gets lots of care, the guilt he is going to feel will be overwhelming.

He’s scheduled to read the “Hotshots Prayer” at the memorial service later this morning.

I’ll be posting live links in about an hour.

The best don’t get to stay here with us. We go on without them, missing them even if we didn’t know any of them personally. We get to stay here with the urban gangs and other types. It must be a beautiful place where they go. I hope I am worthy to see them later on.

Thanks to those who conceived, raised, and taught these young men. God bless you.

Thank you for your thoughts. I have family in Prescott - its a tight-knit community of about 40,000 who lost 20 percent of their fire department in one horrific afternoon. The loss is overwhelming.
