Could you elaborate specifically what you mean by this?
Sure. It’s basic math. Every time we say ‘We will trade away X principle”, our opponents make a gain. Whether that’s AQ or Kadaffy or the GOP/Dems.
Every time we help arm muslims, they in turn, use it against us. Every time we help empower regiems that are wholly contradictory to the ideals of the American Republic, we empower just that. And history has shown it time and time again.
And the same applies to American politics. Every time we give an inch on one of our political beliefs in ‘exchange’ for going along, we slit our own throats and take a dump on the very idea of conservative philosophy and the Constitution (which are one and the same).
as I said, it’s a zero sum game. Every compromise we make is a benefit for the opposition regardless of who that opposition is.
We have compromises ourselves from the American ideals of 1776 to those of 2013. And who did that? Generations of ‘us’ who repeatedly said ‘Oh we’ll just give a little here to get a little there.”
Problem is that 1: we never get a little back and 2: when you compromise with evil, it always comes out on top/you on the short end of the deal.
