The ancestors of those of European descent tried to warn future generations through stories and folklore of the bottomless treachery of the arab and bedouin tribes. Children's stories going back into the mists of time abound with hooked nose, swarthy, robe-wearing, nefarious arab villains, who were simply not to be trusted... ever.
