For what it’s worth, I took metmom’s comment simply as an observation of the irony of any religious hospital being this cavalier about someone’s life.

And if it’s that bad in a Catholic hospital, it doesn’t take much imagination to think of what it would be like in a non-Catholic hospital.

Ironically, after I mentioned that I spent some time at Crouse with an infection, someone suggested I consider St. Joe’s next time because of the Catholic pro-life position.
