Trey has made a national name for himself and thus could raise a lot of money to combat not only Linda’s fat war chest but all the big bucks Mr Amnesty is going to get from the RNC, Karl Rove and all the other GOP-e RINO PACs out to destroy conservatives in the Republican Party.
Believe you me, our SC TEA Parties have already started “bugging” Trey and we can almost guarantee him a Sarah Palin endorsement which is huge around these parts.
Unless the Hon Gowdy is holding out for Prez in ‘16, the above is an offer he just can’t refuse.

This idea that RINOs can be replaced in primaries by more conservative Republicans is a dubious one at best.

First, beating a Grahamnesty is a longshot.

Second, if you do, you run the risk of losing to the Demovik anyway.

Third: how many of these insurgent Republicans will really be reliable once elected to congress? Haven’t at least 25 percent of the House tea party winners already sold out on one core matter or another? And it looks like they are all about to go el foldo on “immigration reform.”

As long as they are “Republicans” I doubt they can be fully trusted. And I’m in no way a purist on these things, nor some sort of half-witted libertarian. I’m a national defense, free market, values-driven conservative beholden to the same basic beliefs as Buckley or Goldwater or Schaffly or Reagan.

In short, almost no one in the Republican party but for Palin really represents me. And she has no future in the party.

I agree with everything you say except that bit about Sarah Palin having no future.

Well she has no future with the Republican party I suppose but let her go independent and I’m with her.

Bob, um, they are republicants, not republicans. Those who are not being blackmailed are bought and paid for, with the rare exception of men like Gowdy and Cruz.

I can’t speak for other states but here in SC, with the exception of RINO Graham and Dem Clyburn, our entire US congressional delegation is solid TEA Party and have voted that way since they were elected.
We seriously believe we can oust Linda, keep Tim Scott in DeMint’s seat and maybe even dump Clyburn...his district is heavily African American but our black folk tend to be a bit more conservative than most and they ain’t none to happy with Obama’s treatment of our state and everyone knows Clyburn is an Obama butt smoocher.

Bob Bob, Bob,can you show me a viable path to re-establishing conservatism in America other than throwing out the rinos and the GOP-E from the Republican Party and literally taking it back? And don’t tell me a third party is the answer. That’s a sure pathway to losing the country permanently.
