The idea behind this “clever” (and dirty) political trick is that it will force/entice lots more people onto the subsidized federal exchanges, people who will then become a source of additional political pressure to keep Obamacare alive. But where does the subsidy money come from? Did the ACA write a blank check to fund these subsidies, or does Congress have to pass another law to allocate funding for this new spending?

The delay is illegal, s the bill specifies that it must be implemented immediately following December 31, 2013. Failure to implement violates the law.

Someone should go to court and insist that it be implemented as provided in the legislation.

Then we should defund the IRS (based on the scandals, of course) and watch them try to implement.
