Someone help me out here. I know these muzzies all have like 48 different names that they go by, but isn't this the same Mohamed ElBaradei that was a U.N. Nuclear Inspector that claimed Iran wasn't developing nuclear weapons - when in fact they were/are?

ElBaradei is another Arab who has blamed the root of all Middle East violence on Israel, on its “occupation”.

He is a minimal secularist; however he could not himself lead a major secular group in the elections; not enough support.

He may only be the temporary PM and that would be a good thing.

Why was he chosen?

For his credibility in western political circles, from whom Egypt is still in need of loans and support.
