In the 43 years after WWII, Italy went through 42 governments.

This is nothing new.

The revolution that overthrew Egypt's last pharaoh and installed a new one in his place now has been overthrown itself -- by military decree. As fully expected. Chaos breeds a demand for order, for clear authority, and what could be more authoritarian than military rule?

And what will we reap after we are forced to sow our own re-revolution??

Interesting article but it starts with the assumption that the USA was started through a revolution. The US is based on some revolutionary thinking but it goes back to the Magna Carta and earlier.

We broke with England in a war for independence and the war was English fighting English. And, as the estimisable Walter Williams says, we fought for the right to be left alone and if we are not careful we will be fighting again. I call it the 4th English Civil War.
