I believe that is correct.
Alan West also was very negative about Stand Your Ground (which he did not seem to fully understand) as well as GZ, initially jumping to the conclusion that was the justification for the shooting.
Nobody’s perfect, but I lost some respect for him over the fact he never apologized for condemning GZ like he did.
If both men were white, there would not be trial in the first place!!
I think Zimmerman thought Martin was a suspicious character and he followed him - something he should not have done. He should have called the dispatcher immediately.
I think Martin was not up to no good, just walking through the neighborhood when he realized he was being followed by a strange guy and he also acted imprudently,waylaying him and jumping him.
Two hot heads made a tragedy.
