Yeah, this happened in January but just popped up on my radar screen this morning. Watching it made my blood boil, especially the last 1:25 minutes of it.

So this is what our country and free speech has come to...

Shame on those officers for forcing that priest out of a government build PAID FOR BY TAXPAYERS! Shame on that councilman for ruling that priest out of order for making a statement about that governing body.

Did the councilwoman who left toward the end leave out of protest for the other councilman? If so, she needs to be supported. That was a disgusting show.

This is unconscionable
and I hope the youtube goes viral here in our country and enrages us all. The people protesting in Egypt have more courage than that council member
That man had courage as he spoke quietly and respectfully.

Did the lady council member leave in protest against the bully council member?

Yes-I believe she did and she offered to answer/address questions outside for citizens...I would like to know her name though- she should go viral.

And the Man of God? Change his color, change his religion= different outcome...Gob Bless him...

Well, let me add, having witnessed the same sort of activity in City Council, County Commission and State Legislatures, not to mention the US Congress.

Arrogance, power of the ruling body, and generally poor treatment of “the people” who carelessly gave power to the power hungry is just alive a well in America.

Lost is the idea that an oath taken was meant to be sacred and have meaning. Lost was the idea that an elected official is a servant of the people, who elected the office holder and are paying for the service.

Lost in the process, The Republic.

Well stated. Yes, sadly this is true. Political class arrogance occurs at every level you mentioned and also includes school districts.

Does anyone know what issue he was addressing (apart from the free speech issue)? What issue were the people who were removed talking about?

And then these tyrannical people in government wonder why some of us want to see them hanging from the gallows?

And boo on the cops for threatening the citizen when the councilmember who silenced the priest was in violation of Florida’s Open Meetings law:

It is the way of the liberal: shout down any who disagree with you, then protest about your free speech rights being violated if someone stops you.... from violating someone else's free speech rights.

Liberalism is a mental disease.

I have done this over and over and will continue to do it. Good for him, but, he should have kept on talking to send his message.

What I hate is that the general public typically doesn’t care that this sort of abuse of power goes on. We refuse - with rare exception - to vote these bastards out of office when they pull crap like this.
