In a carefully worded statement, Obama said he was "deeply concerned" by the military's move to topple Morsi's government and suspend Egypt's constitution. He said he was ordering the U.S. government to assess what the military's actions meant for U.S. foreign aid to Egypt -- $1.5 billion a year in military and economic assistance.

Is the current $1.5 Billion going to the Muslim Brotherhood, or the actual people of Egypt? Taking that away from the alleged corrupt Morsi regime might not be a bad thing for the new government.

Obama’s ego is too big for him to realize that the Egyptian military used the Muslim Brotherhood to get rid of Mubarak, who was setting his family up to rule For at least another generation.

A decent interval has passed and that same military no longer has any use for Morsi. If they had left Morsi alone much longer he’d have gotten rid of the next echelon of officers and the Army would have been neutered. So they had to move and move quickly.
