In this case, it looks like it WAS the people’s will. Those were some large crowds, and that is a gross understatement.

Well, I hope it was. Generalissimo's, by definition, don't like sharing ... anything. And since this was a MILITARY takeover, you can BET that the junta in charge will be FIRMLY (iron fist style) in command. I wonder if the new general would like his people to oust HIM one fine day. Just a thought.

Cairo has a quarter of the country's population. It is The City, The Capitol and The Center of Egyptian life. It also has SPRAWL, Los Angeles style...kind of a mess.
It reminded me of Mexico City sprawling out over the Valley of Mexico. URBAN SPRAWL.

My own comment: That would be 25% of the country's population in ONE city. YIKES!
