CO2 is still an essential trace gas in the atmosphere. There is not enough of it to warm the planet in any substantial way... but the “official” theory goes that CO2 warms the planet mostly by increasing the amount of water vapor in the atmosphere...

Now here is the tricky part for President Obama and the warmists to explain. The “heat wave” we are currently experiencing on the west coast is characterized by a massive high pressure area which prevents moist air from reaching us. Nearly all “heat waves” are characterized by high pressure and a lack of humidity.

Heat waves prove that less humidity not more causes global warming. A pronounced lack of water vapor which makes up 98% of the greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere causes an area to warm often to record temperatures. “Heat waves” caused by high pressure areas and a lack of humidity contradict the “official” global warming theory.

A lack of moisture in the air also greatly increases the risk of wild fires by drying out the fuel. If CO2 was really increasing the moisture content in the atmosphere, the effect would be less forest fires not more.

Of course there is no evidence that the planet has become any more humid over the past 17 years during which time there has been no "statistically significant" warming of the planet despite rising CO2 levels. In fact there is no evidence that the planet has become any more humid since the dawn of the industrial revolution.
