It is impossible in practice to build a 2000+ mile sneak-proof barrier between Mexico & USA. It is a pipe dream. Physically impossible.

So it matters what Rubio or anyone else thinks about the fence.

The ONLY effective method to curb illegal immigration is to place stiff penalties on employers hiring illegals and government workers awarding benefits to illegals.

Nothing else is going to work.

I can't listen to Medved anymore. He is such a shill for the GOP-E. He was so pro McCain and then Pro-Romney it was repulsive. Followed up with the cheer leading for amnesty. Why? Why now? what is the hurry?

If we wait another six months the congressional elections negate anything getting done. After next year Obama has no power, he is really a lame duck. And no way a weak on security pro-illegal bill gets through a new Republican POTUS.

Given what he has taught us about “Marco Rubio” lately, the real truth he’s revealed here is what he thinks his voters are.

I am a Florida resident.

Nobody around here is buying his schtick.

One and done... next time he will run as an Independent spoiler, or go full Democrat.
The worthless liar, POS, XXX jerk will try for another term.

He will fail, but I bet he will attempt it.

Soggy burnt toast, mixed with maggots.
But not even the deluded RINOs will want any part of him anymore!

I’m sure his new buddies Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer will support Rubio’s new bill in the spirit of bipartisanship. (sarcasm)

‘It is impossible in practice to build a 2000+ mile sneak-proof barrier between Mexico & USA. It is a pipe dream. Physically impossible.’

HorseShit! Hadrian built a wall across Northern England in 2000 years ago using nothing but picks and shovels.

The Chinese built a 5,500 mile wall across the center of China starting 700 years BEFORE CHRIST! They had nothing but manpower.

We could build a 1,500 mile double fence, double mote barrier along the entire Southern Border with razor wire tops a patrol road between them and guard towers every mile for less that we paid for 1 year of uncompensated health care for illegals or for a couple of Obama family vacations.

Even if the fence cost a five million dollars a mile it would only cost $7.5 billion. That is less than 2 days of Federal Deficit spending.

We could then house a small force of army reservists on a rotating schedule to secure the border and man the guard towers. Two weeks a year per group. Two people per tower is only 3,000 people to man the gates at a stretch. With 475,000 people in the National Guard, they can each go once every three years.

Follow up with massive fines and JAIL TIME for corporate CEO’s and business owner that employ illegals. MASSIVE fines. of $1,000,000. per offense and five years in prison for each member of the Board and every executive over supervisor level and our immigration problem would solve itself in a matter of weeks, not months or years!

The only thing preventing a secure border and an orderly immigration system is desire. That is all.

That's cool, but I'm sure we can find a candidate somewhere in Florida that is both pro-life and anti-amnesty, if we look hard enough.

Unless we lose the house. Then he won’t be so lame.

What matters is Rubio is a very LIBERAL Republican. He supports the democrats on major issue after major issue. And Rubio’s politics are dangerous to all the good, honest, law abiding Americans out there who pay their taxes.

Beyond that. He will also be a drag on the GOP ticket if he is the nominee. The poor guy is far less popular with Hispanics than even Hillary Clinton is (see latest polls).

And to think he threw it all away to help a Marxist President pass a Democrat bill that would create 11 million new Democrat voters!
