Donald Trump on Edward Snowden: Kill The ‘Traitor’
Washington Times ^ | 8 hours ago

Posted on 07/02/2013 12:40:47 PM PDT by drewh

Edward Snowden, the man at the heart of the NSA information leaks, is nothing but a “traitor” — and America ought to recreate history in dealing with him, real estate mogul Donald Trump said on a “Fox & Friends” interview.

In other words, execute him, Mr. Trump implied.

“I think Snowden is a terrible threat, I think he’s a terrible traitor, and you know what we used to do in the good old days when we were a strong country — you know what we used to do to traitors, right?” Trump said, Politico reported.

“Well, you killed them, Donald,” said fill-in host, Eric Bolling.

Mr. Trump’s response: Well, he is damaging America. “This guy is really doing damage to this country, and he’s also making us look like dopes,” he said, Politico reported.

“We can’t allow this guy to go out there and give out all our secrets and also embarrass us at every level. We should get him back and get him back now.”

Panetta as SecDef leaked far more damaging info to Hollywood for polishing der Fuehrer’s image than this guy ever did.

It's not what he did it's what he knows and where he is (enemy territory). He does not have to willfully give out the information. They can take it via torture or stage an accident.

It was forged. It's been in our laps for quite some time now.

If a foreign born person can illegally assume the US Presidency, what good is the NSA ?

For the record I never claimed that Obama was a foreign person. I just stated that the birth certificate he put on the White House website was a forgery which is fact.

Trump—if Snowden is such a “traitor”, what about Obama?

Oh, that’s right, I forgot you were a Democrat.

Nobody has shown that he has given any sensitive information to include sources and methods to anyone. Just having the knowledge in your head or even on a flash drive (which I doubt) does not mean you are giving it out regardless of which country you are in. Again, the fact that he talks about domestic spying on communications media is not secret or sensitive in any way; it has been common knowledge for many years. He also does not have complete knowledge of the entire set of operations because he, like many others, had compartmented clearance specific to his job. He knows only the pieces he had a need to know and very few ever have complete knowlege or access to that knowledge for any compartmented program.

Panetta on the other hand gave over operational information that put operators in jeopardy and which revealed key aspects of some operations.

I see the uproar and enhancement of this toad to be a useful tool to focus attention away from other more important scandals this administration is responsible for. It is yet to be shown that he has truly released any really sensitive information despite the bloviation of the higher ups. Let’s wait and see. There’s nothing that can be done right now with Snowden one way or the other and efforts are better spent going after the IRS and Dept of Justice for their crimes against the U.S.

Well at least Snowden is not a lying scumbag. So where was the earth shattering news about Obama’s birth certificate Donald ?

One has to wonder if Donald had some dirt and was going to use it to blackmail the admin then all of a sudden a NSA agent had a “chat” with him about his dirt and they “settled out of the court” of public opinion....

You don't think a man carrying 4 laptops with US secrets in China and Russia is a national security issue?

Exactly. AFAIC he committed treason when he set foot in those countries with the info he has.

You’ll note that my comments did not address Mr. Snowden at all.

They were directed toward Donald Trump, whom I cannot abide.

Snowden likely doesn't have secrets that the other countries want that they haven't already gotten with their own spying on leaders and legislators.

Do you really think China, or any other country gives a rats behind what you said to your crazy uncle last week about the price of eggs in China?

All the groaning about the "leaks" is the result of our socialist/fascist dictators being caught red-handed spying on you, your neighbors and your living grandparents, who likely never did a wrong thing in their life but someone thinks they have a right to know what they buy, where they go and who they speak to..and no one has any way to make it stop.

In other words...our Federal Government has turned into living spyware that we have no virus protection against.

Whether you like him or not, Snowden is a rare warning that you have been hacked.

Donald is not politically relevant. He’s an idiot. He’s a businessman and nothing more.

And he lost whatever credibility he had with that stupid Twitter stunt of his. Please. Just go away.

So is this a pre-emptive yelp from the dog in the pack that’s about to get the rock?

I hope the judge that unsealed Ryan’s divorce records - that’s how much POSHITUS cares about privacy - roasts in hell.

Two Sundays ago, Trump called in to FOX ranting that Snowden is nothing but a stupid hs drop out. Steve Doocy and the other talking heads didn’t bother correcting him even though they had Snowden’s father on just days before. The father explained that in 10th grade, Snowden got mono and was out of school so long that he took his GED and started community college. Since FOX didn’t correct Trump, they basically lied to their viewers. I don’t tolerate liars so FOX is back on my ban list. Trump probably knew he was spouting lies and who cares what he has to say.

Seems like all the places he tries to escape to are places that would be very interested in our international secrets.

Substitute Obama's name in there and it reads the same. Where is Snowden supposed to go to be safe? Canada?

Donald, Donnie, Don, we can’t “Kill the traitor”, after all; we still refer to him as “Mr. President”!

“Given Trump’s “colorful” history, I’m sure his PRISM/NSA files are a lot more detailed and explicit than most... and he knows it.”

Exactly. Whenever we have a politician or prominent businessman make statements like this you have to ask “are they compromised by the data NSA has on them?”

That used to be “black helicopter” thinking, but with what we know now, we have to consider it.

Now I’d like to know what Trump thinks about opening the NSA files so that innocent Americans can review their own dossiers that the government has been illegally compiling on them. Given the technologically advanced nature of the NSA, they ought to be able to stand a website like this up in a couple of weeks, if they were ordered to do so.

Really? You know for sure he has all this super duper secret stuff? What exactly have you read of these leaked security issues? Not a lot of anything. Big deal, he’s said we’re spying on other countries. WOW! Like that isn’t being done every day of the week by every single country on the planet. As if spying hasn’t been the pastime of each and every country and tribe all the way back to cavemen. Heck, last week in the grocery checkout there was headlines across the tabloids that Obama spied on William and Kate. So, when is Trump putting a bounty on the heads of tabloid editors?

Makes no difference. He had access to sensitive information and he claims he took it to China. AFAIC that makes him a traitor. End of story.

Donald Trump — just another celebrity shooting off his mouth. Even though he says something smart now and then, I can’t stand to listen to or see him.
