Public School’s Sneaky Little Way To Get Parents To Sign Away Their Child’s Privacy
Off the Grid News ^ | July 1, 2013 | D.M. Graham

For many Americans, privacy has become a hot topic of discussion. As story after story rolls out about the NSA, CIA, FBI, DHS, and any other overreaching government organization abusing its power, Americans find themselves asking the hard questions and not liking the answers that fly back and smack them in the face.

The Fourth Amendment reads as follows: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

What does this mean beyond the obvious? It means that each of us has the right to be left alone to live life without interference unless there is probable cause that we have committed a crime and a warrant is issued by a judge. It is the government’s job to protect that right. This has not been the case.

You may think I am writing about the recent NSA debacle. It is a good assumption, but wrong. Thumbing through recent headlines, I came across an article that spoke of parents’ outrage over a new non-profit technology company called inBloom. This company provides a national database system at little to no cost for K-12 schools. It was sponsored mostly by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, but a few other big corporations like Carnegie and Scholastic threw their money into the pot as well. The idea behind inBloom may seem like a good one. Their product description even says: inBloom, Inc. is a nonprofit organization working to make personalized learning a reality for every U.S. student by improving the effectiveness, variety and affordability of education technology.

Well at least they got the no warrants part. /s

That gives them about a 2% reading comprehension.

No excuse to public school, if you wish your children to survive society at this rate.

Bill Gates is a smart fellow and a savvy businessman. His foundation has donated a hefty amount to the 100 million dollar inBloom project, supposedly for the greater good of education.

A $100 million "educational" project? Yeah, right. If union schools are involved in a project with that kind of money, you can bet your last nickel something insidious is going on.

If I'd had children, they would not have gone to union schools.

Too true. The Morlock class is going to come from US public schooling, both from their "education" and from being born to parents (or, a "parent") who can't or won't bother to inform themselves of things like this. The kid is a tool for the owner to get government cheese of all kinds, same for the public schools, and otherwise a nuisance that the taxpayers pay to have babysat.

“No excuse to public school, if you wish your children to survive society at this rate.”

BUT, BUT, that boat, that dress, that Lexus. I mean, I mean, I can’t make ends meet if I actually have to PAY for my kids to get educated, or if I (or my husband) have to take time out from our careers to home school.

NO WAY!!! Sorry - but I pay THOUSANDS in property tax for the schools, and DAMMIT, I will get my money’s worth by sending my kids there. After all, they’re among the best in the state, what could ever go wrong?

How is secretly collecting information on minors not a felony?

Is America any different from the Soviet Union if public schools can get away with praying on children like this?

The “public school” is the Bus Ministry of the State Church of Multi-Culti Political Correctness.

The “public school”, including the “charter school”, is BY FAR, the largest, most expensive, most subversive, and most destructive entitlement program in the country.

The “public school” is better understood as the “government school collective”.

It is silly to imagine that you can fix the public schools, because the very concept itself is collectivist.

It is hypocritical to submit your children to an authority with whom you fundamentally disagree. Children do not trust hypocrites, so this hypocrisy undermine your own authority and influence over your children.

Any child that comes out of the government school collective with their moral compass and common sense intact does so in spite of the government school indoctrination, not because of it.

To understand the content and compass of modern education, see ...
http://www.scribd.com/doc/54400125/Change-Agents-in-the-Schools-Barbara-Morris-1979

If you want to win the culture war, have lots of children (see my tagline) and homeschool them or form your own school cooperative with your church or synagogue and like-minded friends and relatives.

Nobody loves your children more than you do.

Nobody can teach your children better than you can.

Nobody knows your children better than you do.

Your children would love nothing better than to be taught by you, if you start doing so before they are corrupted by the government school collective.

If you have children, make whatever sacrifices you must to get them out of the public schools.

DO NOT FEED THE BEAST!

Especially not with your own children.

And DO NOT TAKE GOVERNMENT “EDUCATION” MONEY!

He that pays the piper calls the tune, and that’s especially true for any government entitlement program.

Once many, many years ago, my teacher asked me to have my parents fill out a form for the federal government that included giving the amount of the household income. I told the teacher that my daddy would never fill that out, because he wouldn’t even tell me. The teacher sent me home with the instructions that he HAD to complete the form. He wouldn’t, of course, since he rightfully thought how much money he made was his business. I was afraid to hand the form back to the teacher without the income figure, so I wrote in my guess. Later I confessed to my father, who, when he heard what I had written, corrected me, but laughed so hard he could barely finish dinner. I don’t remember what I wrote, but it must have been hilarious. I’m glad Dad enjoyed it and glad he encouraged me from then on to resist pressure from authorities when they are out of line.

They want that info, for one reason, to know who to pressure into applying for free meals. I’ve read some Chicago psd blogs about how the teachers make every child return an application, even if the parents write “N/A” or the like on it. Oh the ways they have of increasing the fed money they get!

When mine were in school, we told them to lie on those studies asking if they used drugs or had sex or whatever personal information. When the school sent home papers wanting personal information they didn’t need, we’d make up ridiculous answers. Nothing was ever questioned. Still, the last year one of ours was in school, they did pee tests for drugs which I tried to fight but it was a lost cause. It’s one of the more conservative schools but I’m glad they’ve graduated. If I had young kids now, I’d homeschool.
