For FReepers who missed it, here's another summary of S.C. Rep. Trey Gowdy's remarks on Fox News Sunday (with John Roberts substituting for Chris Wallace. Hip, hip, HOORAY!)

We need to have criminal penalties for Federal Executive Officials who do not enforce the laws currently on the books.

He says the current system is broken. How would he know? It’s not used. The only thing broken are Oaths.

Enforce existing law.

The bill these Sinators passed borders on treason, in broad daylight. It echoes the treason voiced by their “leader” when he talked about a post-partisan America. This translates to decimating the Republican party and the American worker, by importation of a new electorate beholden to these usurpers.

Rep. Gowdy is The Man!. His work against the IRS bandits has been outstanding.

Hopefully he will decide to take on Linda Graham in the primary next year.

“Getting it right” = Arresting and deporting existing trespassers + building impregnable border fence + felony penalties for future trrspassers and employers of these criminals.

Anything less is unacceptable.

No, Mr. Gowdy.

Nothing needs to be done outside of secure the border and enforce current law.

If you do anything other than that, you can take a flying leap.

I respectfully disagree with Rep. Gowdy.

NO BILL SHOULD COME OUT OF HOUSE!!

The House/Speaker Boehner need to Blue Slip the Senate bill.

Any bill the House comes up with (a Trojan horse) will go to conference. NOT GOOD!

Michele Bachmann and Tom Tancredo have explained this, perfectly, here and here.

I have a political crush on Gowdy. He’s got a set of brass ones and is incredibly articulate.

It is dangerous for the House to pass ANY amnesty bill because when the Senate and House bills go to committee for reconciliation, the RINOs will allow ALL enforcement to be taken out of the bill in exchange for empty promises from the Rats.

Gowdy SC came up with some good poison pills like letting local law enforcement enforce immigration law but he also said this :

Virtually everyone agrees on the broad principles. Where we get ourselves into a little bit of a difference of opinion are the details.....So, you can agree in theory on border security but disagree very strongly on how it's achieved. You can agree on a path to legalization or citizenship. But whether border security is a condition precedent, which it would be in my case, is a very important distinction.”

Like the Senate RINOs he wanted to indicate that citizenship was OK with him. This is worrisome. It is like they are all scared to oppose that in public,.

With chronic unemployment, we need to be seriously restricting the flow of immigration, even if we had no concern over the existing gridlock around our major cities. Any politician who does not understand that point, should not be given much credence.

The Senate bill completely ignores the interests of the rooted American population, not only the White European stocks, but the rooted Black population--whose youth can scarcely find employment--as well. Why is no one willing to address the realities of life, today? Because the Left has found that screaming insults, intimidates the vast majority of those in public life, who tiptoe on eggs, as it were, rather than defend actual American interests.

To anyone, who does not understand how the Left uses the concept of "Diversity" to undermine an American future.

Hispanos are a small part of the electorate--despite the Third World agit-prop. Registered 8% in last election.

Repubs need to start mining disaffected voters who are incensed about Obama's antics. The stench from this admin's crimes/screw-ups stretches far and wide:

<><> there's the Benghazi stench

<><> Hillary's state dept's coverup of sex scandals---obstructing justice---scrubbing investigations

<><> Holder's DOJ stenches (AP--Rosen--monitoring USSC and Congress' Verizon blackberries)

<><> stench-a-rama: IRS targeting (enraging legions of IRS haters)

<><> IRS stealing 60 thousand medical records

<><> HHS' Sibelius strong-arming Obamacare insurance providers for money

<><> NSA snooping---infuriating millions of young twitter/facebook users

<><> IRS sending $45 Million/that's 32,000 EITC refunds to illegals at ONE address.

<><> Letting Snowden globe-trot w/ US secrets

<><> EPA using phantom email accounts

<><> O/Holder Fast and Furious gun-running; savage drug cartels kill two American border patrol agents

<><> Ohaha giving 5 million top security clearance---w/ no oversight as to the Ntl security implications

<><> govt wiretaps rose 71% last year alone

<><> O using drones to shoot down Americans

<><> the continuing TSA travesties.

<><> Solyndra and other green money-laundries

<><> Obamas' Billion dollar annual WH upkeep;endless vacays;

<><> useless $100 million African trip; 7 billion giveaway.

=============================================

Clearly, the IRS targeting has put conservatives in the catbird seat---even left-wingers are appalled about the IRS targeting.

However, it is nauseating to see RINOs grab onto this issue---and run with it---as if they were really concerned about conservative interests.

RNC RINO Rancid Priebus was allover the tube moaning and groaning about conservatives being targeted b/c he knows this is an issue that could bring Repubs back to power....the same RNC that turned away conservatives and would not listen to their concerns few months back.

REFERENCE--FR POSTED---Grassroots Activists Turned Away at the RNC
United Liberty ^ | 4/16/2013 | Jason Pye / FR Posted on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 by Hilda

Just days after the Republican National Committee (RNC) rejected most proposed rules changes that would undo the power grab from last year’s convention, a number of grassroots activists stopped by the RNC to express their disappointment with party leaders and let them know that they would not give up the fight.

Shortly after 10am, around 50 activists (pictured at web site) showed up at RNC headquarters in Washington, DC to present a representative from the party with a open letter to Chairman Reince Priebus that hit at the heart of grassroots’ frustration with the party.

“As grassroots fiscally conservative activists from states across the country, we are stopping by the RNC Headquarters in Washington today to express our disappointment in the Party’s continuing marginalization of the individuals who are driving the only credible ground game to combat the progressive liberal political machine,” read the activist-signed letter to Priebus. “After reading the 100-page Growth and Opportunity Project, we had a glimmer of hope that the Republican Party was going to make a sincere effort to make the Party process more bottom-up and transparent in structure.”

They continued: “The opportunity to repeal the ‘Tampa Power Grab’ last week was your first big shot at beginning to mend the relationship between the Party and the principled, small-government grassroots activists that you’ve disenfranchised,” the letter continued. “And you blew it.”

At issue are two specific rules — Rule 16 (A) (1) and Rule 16 (A) (2) — which conservative grassroots activists consider unfair.

“Rule 16 (A) (1) was upheld on the floor, giving national leaders the power to dictate how states bind delegates,” the letter stated. “This rule puts underdog challengers to the establishment at an immediate disadvantage with fewer delegates sent to the convention. This is only made worse by 16 (A) (2), which prevents principled challengers from growing their delegate count on the convention floor.”

The activists say that Rule 16 (A) (2) was “a watered down version of a power grab.” They also note that the changes made at last week’s RNC meeting “fail to restore the authority to state delegations to enforce and create their own rules.”

“In fact, it strengthens and reinforces the RNC power grab that outraged the grassroots last summer by giving the RNC Secretary full authority to ignore the delegates’ wishes.” The letter also brought up the way the rules were adopted at the convention, which only highlights the distrust the grassroots has towards establishment.

The RNC should be put on notice---they cannot use conservatives to get back in power UNLESS rock-hard conservatives like Trey Gowdy and his surrogates are placed in key positions in the party---in DC and nationwide. This must happen now....or we will proceed without them.

More importantly it's time to ditch RINO conservative-haters like Priebus, the neocons, Rove, and the rest, who have continually kicked conservatives to the curb. They cannot be a part of any effort to clawback Republicans to power using the important IRS issue.

Everyone - Go read what Speaker of the House Hastert did in 2006 ... He Stopped Amnesty with a calculated effort of just holding hearings all summer. Helped along by Congressman Sensenbrenner Hastert’s actions caused the rush to Amnesty to stall out and die...

Hastert KNEW that any House - Senate Conference on merging House and Senate bills would mean Amnesty shoved down our throats - so he shunted the entire process....

We need to do that NOW... Just stall the while thing out...
