"The situation in Egypt is becoming more unstable. Amid cheers of "the people demand the fall of the regime," protesters set fire to and ransacked the Muslim Brotherhood's main offices all over Egypt. Many saw this as another victory towards their goal of Egypt not being ruled under Islamic law...It seems the pressure is building as five Egyptian ministers have just resigned amid the growing chaos."

Look for it to become a civil war.

I certainly hope that the Caliphate event horizon is receding.

You overlook the fact that the current demonstrators favor the military and money/business interests.

The zealots have no army and no money

I will pronounce my judgments on my people
because of their wickedness in forsaking me,
in burning incense to other gods
and in worshiping what their hands have made.

17 “Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them. 18 Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land. 19 They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

Jeremiah

As will it here. Gird your loins and be ready to defend your god given rights: The Bill of Rights.

Look for it to become a civil war.

[sincerity, average] On the bright side, we already know President You Didn't Build That would back the Muslim Brotherhood, so there's half a smidgen less uncertainty than some civil wars generate. [/sincerity]

Amid cheers of "the people demand the fall of the regime," protesters set fire to and ransacked the Muslim Brotherhood's main offices all over Egypt.

On one hand, ObaMao is deeply saddened.

On the other hand, he is going to look awfully hypocritical in backing the Muslim Brotherhood regime even as he criticizes Putin for backing the Assad regime in Syria.

On the other hand, since when has hypocrisy ever bothered him? Or his enemedia lapdogs and amen chorus?

Decisions, decisions. What a dilemma! Libtards always assume that they can control the chaos which results from events which they set in motion. The truth is they can't.

On still the other hand, since when has truth ever dissuaded Libtards?

This is what it will take to break the tyranny that is arising here: Crowds big enough that the regime dare not fire on them, and a military that knows not to obey an order against its own population.

Liberals are elitists. They seem themselves as superior intellectually and morally in all things and therefore entitled to tell everyone how to live. Its a perverted kind of “noblesse oblige” taken to the extreme.

They will always assume they can control anything. This is why there is an irreconcilable division between liberals and freedom loving peoples. Liberalism and freedom simply cannot coexist.

It’s not enough that they attack the Muslim Brotherhood offices. The MB will just regroup later. Wake me when they torch the mosques of the radical clerics.

I won’t know what to think until John McCain tells me who he supports! Then I will support the opposite. ;) Seriously, I hope the protestors kick out Morsi although he will likely get asylum in US.

I’m not too confident about that. The vast majority of people with government jobs (of any kind) will do what they’re told. They will follow orders to keep their job. They will remain mute to avoid ethical responsibility. There is much peer pressure to conform to the will of the system.

Frankly, it is surprising and inspriational to see Egyptians rise up like this.
