Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy on Sunday denied a request from Proposition 8 supporters to halt the issuance of same-sex marriage licenses in California.

Dozens of same-sex weddings have taken place in the state since Friday, following the Supreme Court’s decision on Wednesday to overturn Proposition 8 — which had banned gay marriage.

More same-sex marriages are expected take place on Sunday in accordance with the Pride parade and a VIP reception for newly-married couples in San Francisco.

Prop. 8 supporters said the Friday start-date of same-sex unions came three weeks too soon since they still have 25 days to request another hearing, according to a news release from the Alliance Defending Freedom, an anti-gay marriage group....

I can’t believe there are really that many gay people in the world. Everything about this seems suspicious. Any ideas?

Easy explanation, though it is always overlooked. The Leftist haters of America know that homosexual is the biggest affront to the conservatism on which our country was founded - even Leftists know at their core that homosexuality is a deadly perversion - and so wield it as as the most reprehensible battering ram against conservatives, who, inherently, are reluctant to talk about such a subject. It's like the horses head left under the covers, to humiliate, horrify, and extort. That is the only value of homosexuality to the Left. And they market it to America for the homos for this very purpose.

Apparently no integrity in Kennedy either, at least not on this issue.

He could have halted this.

” I don’t understand why the justices did not listen to the voters.”

***

Actually, the justices aren't supposed to listen to the voters, but they should follow the law. They decided instead to use the standing rule which is arbitrary and capricious at best. They really did not address the issue of whether the vote of the majority supersedes the wishes of a minority. Basically, the justices punted. Cowards!

” This might be the worst ruling ever in the history of the Supreme Court.”

***

The Obamacare ruling would give this one a run for the money.

What we have is a court infested with ideologues instead of those who would follow the Constitution. The rest are essentially scared to go against the king. I'd really like to know just what the Obama thugs have in these justices. Or maybe they've been bribed

There is one more “value” of homosexuals to leftists, “Obama’s Brain,” his former Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel has described the homosexual voting bloc as “the next Jews” in terms of the amount of campaign donations for Democrats.

The time has come for traditional values states (like my home of Oklahoma) to quickly pass legislation that refuses to grant reciprocity to ALL marriages issued by any state that has homosexual marriage after the date homosexual marraiges began in that state (the rationele being that recognized homosexuality invalidates the states legitimacy to certify any marriage). So, in Oklahoma, any married couple moving to that state...to include military couples....that married in a state allowing homosexual marriage the the time the couple married...would NOT be recognized as married in Oklahoma.

The big problem with that idea is that it would probably be struck down as unconstitutional owing to the terms of the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the US Constitution (Article IV Sec.1) which reads:

Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State. And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof.

The “Full Faith and Credit Clause” is NOT uniformly followed. For instance, not every state recognizes “self defense” or “concealed carry” between states. I believe a state CAN define what is “marriage” in its borders and NOT recognize definitions (or marriages) from states that do not. Besides, I made it clear that states are going to have to “ignore” judicial rulings to the contrary.
