You’re right, very few pre-law people take physics. Most take biology as their only undergraduate science.

Whether a physics class is in high school or in college, a physics student, even one taking what’s called,”Physics for Poets,” would have a lab partner(s) who’d remember him.

In any case, is this the first allusion he himself has made to having had poor grades? Is he pretending humility about his grades because it’s more likely he had no grades at all in physics or in any other prerequisite to Columbia Whatever or Harvard Law School?

Mr. President, what WERE your grades in physics? Did you flunk? Did you take the course? Let’s see your transcripts from high school in Hawaii, from Occidental College, from Columbia Whatever, and from Harvard Law School. For starters, let’s see your grades from any one of the schools.

Have you shown your wife your transcripts? Your kids? Your mother-in-law? Are they interested? Do they believe you? Most employers ask to see the transcripts. The American people are your employer.

“Well, well, he’s mentioned his school grades. He’s laid down the gauntlet. Let’s see your grades in physics, Mr. President. Did you really even take physics?”
