I agree with you.

With an emphasis on “working class folks”.

We need American jobs. In America.

Stop exporting American jobs.

yup. Even democratic type people who work for a living are disgusted with the state of our welfare state. that’s very exploitable. I find it best to point out that we believe in a safety net, not a lazy net. and that we believe in tax policies that attract jobs, not ones that repel them. We have to be careful discussing tax policy as the democrats have done an ex cellent job of demonizing the job creators.

Republicans need to learn that instead of identity politics they need to go after individual voters. The premise should cross economic strata and be based not upon the amount of money you make, but a common idea of making life better for yourself. It used to be called the American Dream.

What we have now is years of expanding welfare rolls, and the creation of an even larger portion of society that vote for their benefits and not their prosperity. Conservatives should be blunt and tell these people that the choice is theirs. They can vote to continue receiving their EBT card or they can vote for the belief in future prosperity. One thing they will never experience on public assistance is prosperity.
