An American college student killed Friday during antigovernment violence in Egypt was in the country on an internship to teach English to young children while also improving his Arabic skills, family members said.
The American, Andrew D. Pochter, 21, a student at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, was killed in Alexandria during clashes between supporters and opponents of President Mohamed Morsi, the college said. Security officials in Egypt said he was fatally stabbed near the headquarters of the Muslim Brotherhood, which had been set on fire.

Any American, other than military or embassy personnel, still in Egypt has a death wish. They should have been out of there over a year ago.

Yet, I can’t help but wonder WHY he would want to improve his “Arabic”, or worse yet, teach English to Muslim children.
So they can grow up and blend in better when they come to America?

I doubt if anyone took the trouble to find out if he was a Jew. They murdered him because he was an obvious foreigner standing around in a spot where it was fun to kill him.

Of course, nobody can possibly exercise enough caution to assure their safety. That being said....why would a Jewish student, a US citizen, go to Egypt to teach English? It’s a recipe for disaster.
Probably got his news from MSM which only tells delightful stories about the muslims. So he had nothing to fear going into the heart of the monster.

He was killed because he was an American spreading western values in their children. If he was Jewish too, it was just bonus points to them.
Muslims are dangerous, sometimes you cannot predict what will set them off. Once the knives and guns come out its too late. Blood thirsty bunch are willing to cut their own kids heads off, don’t expect to reason with them.
