PRETORIA, South Africa -- U.S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will meet on Saturday with relatives of anti-apartheid hero Nelson Mandela, but they will not visit the hospital where the former South African president is critically ill, the White House said.
Obama is in South Africa on the second stop of a three-nation Africa tour. His visit had triggered intense speculation that the United States' first African-American president might visit 94-year-old Mandela in the Pretoria hospital where he has spent three weeks being treated for a lung infection.

The BBC has given the Mandela death watch pretty extensive coverage. From their man on the street interviews it sounds like the people have already accepted him as gone.

King hussein must believe that if he were to visit nellie mandelie just the enormity his mere presence would more than likely be so overwhelming to poor old nellie that he would probably have heart failure and pass away. He would at least get much sicker and take a turn for the worst. I mean I’m pretty sure that if I were ever subjected to his presence I’d get sick. No, I’m damn sure. Hell I get sick to my stomach if I accidently stumble on to his visage on tv.

They must’ve heard how everywhere Obama visits...companies, sports teams, etc...things go bad, fast. Companies fold, teams lose.
