Federal regulators are suing Jon Corzine, accusing the former New Jersey governor and U.S. senator of misusing customers money while he was CEO of brokerage firm MF Global.
June 27, 2013: The CFTC files a civil lawsuit against Corzine, seeking unspecified penalties and a ban on trading in the futures market; MF Global agreed to pay a $100 million penalty as part of a settlement.

Why is this guy not in jail?
Because he is in the "club"
Elitists ALWAYS protect their own.
FOO
Friend of obama
Most likely the same reason Marc Rich wasn't in jail - bribed a politician.
He’s the teflon John.
Why is this guy not in jail?
Because he has a big (D) next to his name...
Later: MF Global files for bankruptcy protection About $1.2 billion is found missing from accounts of clients including farmers and ranchers
What a deal, steal over a billion and pay less than a 10% penalty.
He stole more money than everyone in prison combined. But, he gives money to Obama so its ok.
Cause Obama stole more money than everyone out of prison combined.
Let’s really, really, really think hard about this. I’m thinking 2-1/2 year lawsuit, ending in....however it ends...just before Xmas 2015....if innocent, c’est la vie...if guilty...60 day sentencing delay....receives presidential pardon January 17-19. He won’t spend 30 seconds in jail.
That about right?
He should move to France and bunk with Frank Rich
He’s so more equal than the other animals that jail is beneath him.
“I dont talk politics with her ever because I know how she feels. But for her to tell me what I cant say on Facebook makes me so angry and hurt my feelings.”
I wish I could tell you something constructive....constructively...but operating on your feelings is what they do. I hate FB and closed my acct after about 45 minutes because it is a security nightmare/cesspool and a “behavior corrector” mechanism that seems to have the effect of aligning folks to the least common denominator. I also believe it degrades the concept of “friendship” which to me is a rarefied state into a kind of “drive-by” level of shallowness I really dislike.
I read an article last summer that Corzine wasn’t getting invited to the tony parties in the Hamptons where he stays in the summer . . . . after this lawsuit he may no longer even be able to afford to stay in the Hamptons. However, I’m sure the feds will let him keep some of his cash if he settles. Of course, then there’s all those investor lawsuits. What’s a former Goldman Sachs CEO and NJ governor to do?
Bernie Madoff must have cheated the wrong Democrat bigwig, I guess Corzine only ripped off ordinary people.
