If Terri had been of the upper crust, she would still be breathing at least. Because she was just a “nobody”, the American people didn’t care a whit.

The right to life used to be an established fact in the minds of Americans. When the public began discussing Terri, the debate was over who had the right to order her death. We skipped right past whether anyone even had that right, to assuming either her estranged spouse, family, government or the voting public owned her life.
