Obama clashes with African host over gay rights

President Barack Obama on Thursday praised the Supreme Court's ruling on same-sex marriage as a "victory for American democracy" but clashed with his African host over gay rights in a sign of how far the movement has to go internationally.

Obama said recognition of gay unions in the United States should cross state lines and that equal rights should be recognized universally. It was his first chance to expand on his thoughts about the ruling, which was issued Wednesday as he flew to Senegal, one of many African countries that outlaw homosexuality.

*snip*

Papi Nbodj, a 19-year-old student who stood by the road to the presidential palace to see Obama's arrival, said homosexuality is against the religious beliefs of most in Senegal.

"We are in a Muslim country, so we certainly cannot have it here," he said. "And for me it's not OK to have this anywhere in the world."

That wasn’t the president of Senegal. Just Joe Schmoe.

You mean, Bongadowewawboganga Schmoe.

After the muzzies take over the world, homos will be among the first that they swipe heads off with the swords.

The way I understand it, the MORAL law always applies, the sacrificial (ceremonial) and civil and dietary statutes are not....

Don’t know about starting to follow the Bible perfectly, but understand shell fish are not clean. Because of what they ingest, and the location where they are ingesting it.
Learned years ago about this, and not in a Biblical context.
We consider shell fish occasionally.

Best to eat deep water fish- salmon for one.

What you say is true in some ways, but homosexuality is a major problem within islamic societies because of their removal of contact with women.

In Afghanistan, there are entire cultures which are homosexual and which marry only to produce children.

You need an app for that.

“Then why has this never been told to the damn liberals. I actually believed them and thought you know what, they are right. I am going to practice word for word the entire Bible which by the way has been great for my family. Now you are telling me that God changed his mind? I don’t get it.”

God doesn’t “change His mind.” He has certain orders for certain situations. We can’t hold him accountable to our standards of immutability.

Before Christ, there was a separateness to the covenant people. It was expressed in all sorts of ways, from the food they ate to the clothes they wore. After Christ, the gospel went to all mankind, not just Abraham’s children. It’s not “changing his mind.” It’s a fulfillment, a furtherance. Read your Bible. It has a purpose. Everything you need to know about God, and your standing with him, is right there.

I don’t ever wave to hear some gd talking head on television bloviate about ‘why do they hate us’ ever again unless they bring up the fact that gay rights are deeply offensive to the Muslim world.

That’s the bright side of the SSM issue for me. It’s a limiting factor in our government’s attempts to kowtow to Muslims.

I am sure bammy would love to spend some QUALITY time with this young man and SHOW him exactly what he means.

Obama is as queer as a three dollar bill. Everything about him tells us so.

I keep wondering when he will realize that his ambition to be the Mahdi will collide with his sexual preference.

His trip to Africa might be the start of something big.

Because Jesus Christ came and died for our sins and said, Love the Lord God with all thy heart, soul and mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself on these two rest all the law."

Jesus Christ was the end of the law we are now under grace, we are not to try to clean up the flesh, its corrupt. But homosexual behavior will forever be forbidden by our God. The act of putting a life giving body part into where we defecate is the ultimate insult to God Almighty, woe to the ones who do it and who endorse it. Our government is promoting this shameful act of defiance against our God, this will not turn out well for our country.

It’s funny; I followed the link to read the whole story and the part about the guy saying they are in a muslim country and it’s not OK was missing. The only paper to still have that exact content in it is the Sydney Morning Herald. Too damning for Americans to read? They probably pulled it out after it was posted.

"We are in a Muslim country, so we certainly cannot have it here," he said. "And for me it's not OK to have this anywhere in the world.....Sometimes I think if Christians stood up for Biblical morality with even 10% of the passion that Muslims defend the Koran, this country would be in a lot better shape."

In the same way as God gave Hezekiah a visit from the Babylonians to foreshadow who would some day punish Israel, it is entirely possible that corrupt America was just shown the power that would some day punish a North American Sodom.
