Why stop at marriage? Why can’t two people, regardless of marital status, “team up” to receive surviving spouse benefits upon the death of the other? Why does there have to be presumed sexual contact?
Really, the government should NOT be in the marriage business anyway - it’s a religious based phenomenon that exists between Man, Woman, and God.
