< Yes, that’s from the Texas Penal Code. And, no, there is NO exception for state legislative business. Free speech does NOT include disrupting the legislative session. >

Well, i guess my question would be, would you still feel the same in a few weeks if 500 moms-to-be fill the gallery and create as much noise? If you call for their arrest too, then that’s fair.

IMHO, we need to start acting more like the Dems act if we want to be heard, that’s all. If i call for their arrest, then i have to live by those same rules when Perry calls another special session. It’s NO time to be be cow-towing to liberals here in Texas, as i’m sure you know. In some cases, we just need to SHOUT louder if we’re going to be heard. Screw the “being civilized” routine that Republicans always take, particularly in a crowd situation. (To the NSA: I’m strictly talking about decibel volume, NOT violence.)

Yes, anyone disrupting the legislature out of turn should be arrested. The floor of the chamber is the proper venue for debate when recognized, not the gallery.

If you want selective anarchy, you are full-bore anarchist.
