With the new acting commissioner of the IRS Daniel Werfel releasing the first report on the agencys targeting of conservative groups comes a big revelation: liberal groups received very similar treatment. CNNs Dana Bash reported Monday afternoon that the term progressive was used by the IRS, in addition to conservative buzz words like tea party and patriot to identify applications by groups for tax-exempt status. As Bash pointed out, this is a very big development with regard to the IRS controversy because of course we have seen hearings and investigations for months now looking into why conservative groups

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
If they were mistreated like conservatives were, we would have heard about it weeks ago.
It took the weeks to manufacture this kind of excuse?
We already had their excuse predicted in an hour after the story broke.
Looks like Commie News Network has found several documents with “progressive” handwritten in the margin.
A clumsy attempt at agitation propaganda, in my opinion. I have no proof that this is an outright lie, but I also don’t remember any leftist or progressive group complaining about IRS targeting in the past five years, either. This attempt at propaganda reminds me of Jonah Goldberg’s description of fascist politics as endlessly throwing policies and ideas up against the wall to see what sticks and what falls, not in an effort to see what works but in an effort to see what can be used to perpetuate their power.
Makes sense, they targeted ‘progressive’ groups so they could fast track them, get them approved and in the fight to re-elect Obama.
They’re forging documents to prove it as we post.
Why didn’t they name them?!
The Democrats couldn’t come up with ONE witness for the oversight hearing, NOT ONE, so I consider this another damned lie.
Why do I smell B.S.?
Yeah sure whatever. Get the focus off Benghazi (what’s that?), off of watching the AP (who cares?), criminalizing James Rosen (who cares?), running guns to narco-terrorists in Mexico (Fast & Furious, so what?) .....
“...Lists from April 2013 that were released included the terms “Paying National Debt” and “Green Energy Organizations.”...”
Since Lew knew much earlier than April -
“...Treasury Secretary Jack Lew said today that he was aware in the fall of 2012 of the Treasury inspector general probe of the IRS targeting of conservative groups, but he claims he did not know the details of the investigation...”
I say they just came up with a new list in April that showed they were being “fair” and targeting both sides.
Absolute and total Bravo Sierra.
Hundreds of Tea Party groups were targeted and they came to the hearings and told their stories. Uh, where were the progressive groups at those hearings? Answer...there were none.
This administration uses a willing and complicit MSM to throw as much BS up against the wall as they can in the hopes that some of it will stick and cover their lies and illegal, unconstitutional acts.
Nope...that dog don’t hunt.
Why do I smell B.S.?
It’s fear, fear of impeachment.
Yeah sure whatever. Get the focus off Benghazi (whats that?), off of watching the AP (who cares?), criminalizing James Rosen (who cares?), running guns to narco-terrorists in Mexico (Fast & Furious, so what?) .....

Gawd I wrote a thread that debunked that six weeks ago, and I was just amplifying something I had seen in National Review two weeks prior to that. The Big Lie continues.
Good research and conclusion. Thank you.
