I live in the 7-11 capital of the world - Suffolk County, Long Island New York. There are no hispanics working at any of the 10 7-11s within 5 miles of my house (no, I’m not exaggerating - there really are that many). They are all indian, pakistani, Bangladesh. Not a single hispanic among them.
And I’m talking high-illegal immigrant areas like Farmingville and Medford. Not a single hispanic worker at any of them.
7-11 franchises are mostly owned by people from the middle-east.
(unless they are corporate owned stores - few are left)
From the article:
Charged with wire fraud are Farrukh and Bushra Baig, a married couple who controlled 12 stores in Long Island and Virginia; Farrukh's brothers Zahid Baig and Shannawaz Baig, and associates Malik Yousaf, Tariq Rana and Ramon Nanas.
In a separate scheme, Ahzar Zia and Ummar Uppal owned two 7-Elevens in Suffolk County.
Relatives and workers are cycled in and out of these stores from their home country.
Not all illegal immigrants are Mexican.
