Interesting how laws on juries vary from state to state. Only six jurors here, and if I recall my jury duty correctly, in California notes are not allowed.

I sat on a municipal court jury in Contra Costa County for an underage DUI case, and we were all given notebooks for our own notes. We had to leave them in the courtroom overnight, and they were collected at the end of the trial.
