“Blood is thicker than Rio Grande water.”
And so is identity politics. If Rubio is the party standard bearer for the presidency, I have no doubt that he would get at lest 50% of the Hispanic vote. All he has to do is campaign in Spanish in their communities.
Rubio understands that we are in a new voting dynamic. You win votes because of your ethnicity and how ‘cool’ you are.
Rubio is smart and photogenic. He knows what he is doing.
Rubio also understands that voters are split down the middle and ignore opposite viewpoints. Elections are decided on popularity; not ideology.
” I recall 2+ years ago him on a Sunday show suggesting that the GOP change the constitution regarding birthright citizenship as if he was supporting that, when he was just saying that to further his cause of amnesty.”
Correct.
” Rubio was hinting he supported amnesty years ago. Nobody had to blackmail him into this.”
He sure as hell did, but only a few saw through this con man.
Marco LOVES getting his ass whipped by Chuckie!!! What a DUMBASS!!!
And should Rubio run in another general election, Erick Erickson will support him.
I hate Graham so much that I might even vote for a DimRat instead of not voting.
I was very disappointed in Demint when he voted to confirm the Commie Panetta for DOD Chief. His office had lied and said he would vote against Panetta.
Same here obviously, I live far from SC but would like to meet a Republicans who actually likes him.
My guess is they are all big $$$$ Establishment neocons who want cheap labor and new consumers and more islamic IED fodder for the military.
If not in Florida you probable very right!!!
AZ gov Jan Brewer is the latest to get bought off..

She loves that Corker amendment as it is stimulus to AZ times X1000000.... my zero button broke.
You can borrow mine : )
What the hell - I’ll run against Rubio in the primary!
Then I’ll throw any support I get to the first Anglo-Conservative that shows up ................................................. FRegards
so much for the fiscal conservative arguement for RINOs
What changed? Has he gone back on the “seal the borders first” promise? The few times I’ve heard him talk his proposals seemed mostly reasonable, with some exceptions. I’ve never agreed 100% with anybody, even Ronaldus Magnus!
Maybe I need to go back and re-read the article.
OK, re-read and better understood. Backing off on enforcement first is a dumb idea that will only make it worse. Seal it up tight, then decide what to do with whom. First priority to those who’ve been waiting in line but are not here yet; trade ‘em even for any caught who have criminal records here. One out, one in.
Oh, and change that birthright thing as well. Add the words “born of parents legally present in the United States on a permanent basis”, maybe. No citizenship tourism allowed.
Fat ass would never agree to play 2nd fiddle to ANYONE.
You have our votes! And like the DEMS we can ALSO learn how to vote early and OFTEN!! :)
