I despise the “my country right or wrong” mentality;when you believe your country is wrong you should not have to just accept it. By such “reasoning: any German who didn’t support the Nazi government whole-heartedly was a traitor.Yet which stance is better?
I am certain there are many dark secrets of American government that need to be exposed and the power of government cut back.

What today’s Americans accept as free,pre-1861 Americans called tyranny! (I denote the action of governments in forcibly drafting men into the armies as a sure sign a society is not free.)

I agree. Besides, doing the whistleblower thing the ‘government’ way doesn’t appear to work out all that well and I’m thinking that there are cases that we will never know about because the blowers are dead.
