Atlanta police said a man was shot and killed in Little Five Points early Saturday morning after he tried to rob a group of people waiting in line to buy the new, $180 sneakers, the Nike LeBron X EXT, which were released today.

One man in the line pulled out a gun and shot the would-be robber, witnesses told police, who have charged no one and consider the shooting to be self-defense.

The shooter then got back in line, according to Channel 2 Action News.

He should have shot the shop keeper and the Manufacturer of the sneakers.

They are the real robbers.

Those sneaker probably cost all of $5.00 to make.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

That’s crazy. So the shooter was in fear for his life? Too bad George Zimmerman wasn’t in line for sneakers.

Word is bound to get around, and crime is bound to drop.

Especially when the Cops have only become a agency for collecting revenue and recording crime reports and statistics.

It’s a good lesson to learn; When trouble happens, a cop is only minutes away and your gun is just seconds away, it pays then to be armed.

The article about the shooting has considerably more to say about the shoes than the shooting. interesting.

They're the iPhone of sneakers, or the Macs of sneakers.

It's all about the hype, and little about the value.

“Several of those lining up outside Wish, the clothing and shoe store on Moreland Avenue where Saturday’s shooting took place, wore Heat paraphernalia.”

“What makes the LeBron X EXT so special?

“It’s the leather and the denim,” the man said. “It’s basically a pair of pants on your foot.” He wore an unusual pair of Addidas sneakers with a furry, leopard-like print.”

Shoots the guy and then gets back in line.... Hilarious!!! Ann Barnhardt once wrote that she can’t think of anything more gay than a man wearing a shirt with another mans name on the back.

Shooter must be a member of a protected minority. If you or I did that we would be talking to our lawyer from a nice cozy interrogation room u til long after the shoes were sold.....

Doesn't sound normal to me.

Justified or not, a normal person would immediately reflect on what just happened, and wouldn't just go about his life as if nothing big really happened.

Please DON’T call me the obvious....HA

BUT

Aren’t the odds of a Gangsta (or at least a Wannabe) NOT being in such a line kind of ‘long’?

Kind of like the idiot who decides to rob a bank on Cops payday (back when they ‘stood in line to cash a check) or, even better, tries to rob the local “FOP” hangout...Some ‘fools’ did attempt to rob the DC FOP HQ BAR a few years back.

It is dumb moves like that that give crooks/thieves a bad name and should really force one to reevaluate one’s self as to what line of ‘work’ they should be in.

I would probably make a good ‘stick up man’ as I would definitely plot everything out including consequences if I were to be caught WHICH really means I would NOT be a good ‘stick up man’ as I would definitely plot everything out etc etc...

Willie Sutton didn’t have all that ‘success’ because he was stupid, but even he realized it was only a matter of time before his luck would run out and by sheer numbers alone, there were/are definitely more of them (LEO)than him.

Like the guy doing his last walk on the way to the ‘chair’ and his fellow death rowers calling after him.
“Bye”, “See ya”, “good luck”, “Guess I am next” and my favorite “MORE POWER TO YA Harry”....
