Maine governor offers crude metaphor involving Vaseline
Washington Post ^ | June 20, 2013 | Aaron Blake

Maine Gov. Paul LePage (R) on Thursday went after a Democratic state senator by using a vulgar metaphor involving lubricant.

LePage told reporters that state Sen. Troy Jackson “claims to be for the people, but he’s the first one to give it to the people without providing Vaseline.”

LePage then walked away, later returning to explain his comment.

“That comment is not politically correct,” he said. “But we gotta understand who this man is. This man is a bad person. He doesn’t only have no brains; he has a black heart.”

He looks a lot like Adolf H — no mustache and a bit plumper, but almost identical.

20 miles inland and over 50 percent of the people are on welfare.

Back in ye olden days, pre-political correctness, our teacher told us, "Maine was the White Man's answer to Mississippi."

Ayuh, heah is wheah the poverty shoe pinches.

BTW, Jackson is as stupid as he looks, but he is smart enough to pick up on major Democrat word patterns. Wants more Somalis, More Latinos, More Votes for the likes'o'him.

I hope he can pull off a re-election, but the press is after him night & day up there.

I know a couple liberal Mainers who will be voting for Lepage.
These are working class libs who did not vote for him the first time around. But Lepage has a straight forward message and these two are just tired of the BS.

I suspect Lepage will be reelected. Maine is in such disrepair its deeply frustrating.

We have relatives in Maine and own a piece of a farmhouse near Auburn, so whenever we go up there I follow the local politics as much as I can. You could see LePage coming from a mile away. There is absolutely nothing wishy-washy about the man, yet the newsrooms there - - as well as my relatives - - couldn’t figure out if he was liberal or conservative, Republican or Democrat.

I love to visit Maine. Where we go, the quiet is so thick you can cut it with a knife. Very comforting and relaxing. I am already looking forward to those big fat lobster rolls they sell in Freeport. You get $100 worth (in Pennsylvania) of fresh lobster meat for less than $10.
