I hope you’re right. Maybe something that directly affects people - really makes them uncomfortable physically - will finally make them wake up.
Unfortunately, the other possibility is that people will be so scared by this blatant display of dictatorial power that they’ll be paralyzed.
He has been caught in I don’t know how many schemes to destroy the opposition, stay in power, etc. recently and yet it only seems to make him more vicious, more in your face, and harsher. And nobody seems to be able to challenge him.
I hear you. It is perplexing. Hopefully this ride will end sooner rather than later.
