It makes it very hard to play the victim card when it is so blood stained.

Yeah, the Germans are not going to get a lot of sympathy from the rest of the world on that. And Stalin knew it well. As far as he was concerned, they were owed. I can't say I blame him, and defending old, bloodthirsty commies pains me to the core.

And when you saw how German minorities acted up in Czechoslovakia and Poland before the war, it certainly made it hard to garner any sympathy for them after they were expelled from those countries after the war.
