AA, Salvation Army, Scouts... the list goes on... used to be Christian organizations. Policies began to change when they accepted United Way money, government grants and with it came progressives that changed the ‘rules’ of the bylaws.
Salvation Army is STILL a Christian organization.
Salvation Army will not accept United Way money, at least here.
