“Why do GOPers keep nominating spoiled rich kids to run for the White House?”

Rich people are different from you and me. They have money.

Imagine that you’ve spent a life easily getting into the best schools, and getting tutors so you can stay there. You’ve gone to all the best parties and your first car was a new Mustang or Camaro. But, finally, you’re ready to settle down and make your mark in the world. Your daddy has introduced you to the movers and shakers, who are eager to help you since there’s a large quid pro quo factor. It’s easy for you, since you have access to the moneyed people in your social network. All are eager to help for that quid pro quo reason.

Having lived this life you must feel entitled. The people who will be working on your behalf are also entitled.

This isn’t to say that all wealthy people who aspire to political office feel this way. I’m sure there are some who are decent and hard working and in it for everybody, not just their own aggrandizement.

I suspect the reason the Jeb is doing this is it’s so easy for him. With just his family connections he can place calls to virtually anybody and have them accepted. That’s power. He has it just lying there so it’s hard to not use it.

I’m beginning to recognize Palin’s political value. At first I felt reluctant to support her since she was often mocked as clueless. But now I realize that’s part of her charm. Many Americans can connect with her since she is indeed ordinary. Really, how many voters would say “I want to drink a beer with Romney, McCainer, or George W. Bush? Romney and Bush don’t drink and McCainer looks like an angry old man. The Country Club Republicans might look good if you see their resumes, but you can’t fall in love with a resume. it’s time for GOPers to recruit ordinary Americans to run for elective office and let the Country Clubbers do the fundraising for them.

Which is exactly why he and his Tribe need to be de-powered.

ENOUGH.
