Ok, so basically he’s saying that Catholics stay all cloistered in their schools and don’t integrate with others.
But the reality is, the invitation is ALWAYS there for anyone to a. become a Catholic, b. practice the Faith, and c. send your child to a Catholic school. We have different beliefs ...that is HIS problem.
He basically wants Catholics to abandon their beliefs, then ...Abandon them, join the “group” and then everyone is going to get along like a rainbows and skittles type of thing?
I think we all know what would really happen ...it’s human nature ...one group is ALWAYS going to dominate ....and we know who that would be.
Obama doesn’t understand religion or Christ, or Christians WHATSOEVER. He doesn’t get it. It just doesn’t work that way . ..he is not above Christ — he and many others really seem to have a hard time with that.
Obama's main job is to travel around reading rabble-rousing speeches written by his racist speechwriters who display very little knowledge about their subject matter.
They load his speeches with half-truths, manufactured statistics, imaginary stereotypes, dog-whistles and racist dribble, calculated to keep the fires of resentment and hatred stoked and burning.
As the old adage goes: "It's not that Obama doesn't know anything, It's that everything he knows is wrong."
The irony is that in America, Catholic schools have increasingly accepted non-Catholic, minority and immigrant students, usually with reduced tuition or no tuition at all.
Today, the local Catholic school probably has almost as many blacks and non-catholic students as Caucasian catholics.
Historically, that has been true in Northern Ireland - Catholics/republicans and Protestants/loyalists have been deeply, deeply segregated (in schools, neighborhoods, etc.), and have both "stay[ed] all cloistered in their schools" without integrating with others.
Obama has no business sticking his nose into this issue, but a lot of people who are commenting on this story seem to be looking at it from an American perspective, and don't realize the context and role of schools and other institutions in Northern Ireland.
I attended a Catholic school up to the 7th grade. I had Jews and protestants in in most of my classes that I can remember.
Maobama and his fellow libs define peace as the absence of any opposition to all of their agenda.
It’s absolutely ridiculous because you don’t even HAVE to be Catholic to attend a Catholic school! One of our fellow students was JEWISH, and I know there were some kids and families that I /never/ saw in Church on Sundays, either! Our teachers emphasized our equality to others as we were ALL God’s children no matter our backgrounds or faith, and didn’t encourage divisiveness - even to those outside the church. It wasn’t until going to public school that I saw that kind of divisive and damaging behavior among the students - divisive along every line you can think of; looks, money, clothes, cars, parents’ jobs, etc... etc... But then that’s what these politicians want. They don’t TRULY want peace, they strive for chaos because it gives them the foundation for seeking more power over us all.
